WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Emily & Zac : Wedding Pt. 2

After visiting with guests at their church reception (which we hope you saw on the blog yesterday!), Emily & Zac headed over to Aldredge House where their dinner & dance party was being assembled. It was so wonderful to have plenty of time at the gorgeous venue with our bride & groom before guests arrived… even with the tent assembled in the back yard because of rain, there were SO many beautiful areas for some killer portraits!

I just couldn’t help but include the next set… it shows just how quickly this couple can go from sweet to hilarious! 🙂

The reception set up underneath the tent was sweet & simple, with an emphasis on the flower Zac gives to Emily most often. Sunflowers are just so happy, don’t you think?

The toasts were by turns full of tears & laughter… a perfect mixture.

During dinner, the rain started coming down fiercely, and Emily looked right at me and said, “So, now is a good time for rain pictures??” LOVE a fearless bride… and we adore this image!

We got back in (and dried off) just in time for Emily & Zac to watch a video that her brothers had put together for her, and projected on the ceiling of the tent. It was completely hilarious, and heartfelt… what a fantastic family!

So, it’s official… a sword is the best way to cut a wedding cake!

We got to work with Colby Logan, of Astounding Sounds, again for this wedding… one of our absolute FAVORITE DFW dj’s. He throws such an awesome party, and kept the dance floor packed all night!

Back in the spring when we shot engagement portraits, one of the things Emily & Zac were most looking forward to about their reception was the cigar roller! He had the back patio smelling amazing all night long, and the bride & groom made sure they set aside time to enjoy his handiwork!

A glow-stick exit at the end of the night…

Emily & Zac, CONGRATULATIONS. We know you’ve come so many miles to get to this point, and we were SO honored to be able to capture all the sweet moments of this special day for you. You are amazing people, with equally amazing families, and we can’t wait to see where the world takes you next. Much love!
