There are things that Behymer girls do… Behymer girls being my sister and I. (that’s my maiden name, folks!)
Behymer girls name our cars.
Behymer girls eat peanut butter straight out of the jar.
Behymer girls think our Daddy is the greatest man alive.
Behymer girls dance, but bad bad badly.
Behymer girls are also very musical. But only one of us is going to make her living doing that… and it’s not me.
My sister, Samantha, recorded her first album in June. She lives in Malibu, and has a pretty rad following down there among the hipster kids. The album, which I think I remember will be entitled “Heartmouth”, will be released on iTunes sometime next month. And when that happens, you can expect to hear about it here. I don’t just think her music’s awesome because she’s my sister… I think her music’s awesome, because she’s wicked talented.
Tonight, we did a short photo shoot to get some images for her album art. It was short, because no matter how totally amazing we both are, we’re still sisters, and there’s still a limit to how much interaction we can have before someone tears the head off someone else’s Barbie.
BUT, I think I got some great shots, and I want her to see what kind cool things happen when she trusts her sister.
I couldn’t decide how I liked this one best… so you get both:
Behymer girls do NOT have legs in common. I have no legs. Seester has legs for days. *grumble grumble*
For those of you that care about this sort of thing, the next three shots are straight out of camera. No color correction, no nothin’.
Sam brought a Mylar balloon… I think we caught some cool stuff with it, before AND after the balloon suffered a fatal injury.
I love you, Seester.
And hey, blogstalkers, go listen to Sam’s music on MySpace. www.myspace.com/sambehymer. Most of the stuff on that site is just laptop recordings, but it’s still pretty rockin’.
Another portrait shoot later this week, and then another weekend of boudoir madness… so don’t go anywhere!
AWW! Seester Sam is so beautiful! She is a mirror image of Mama!! Love these pictures and love y’all!
Chelz, These are so good. I love the one with the balloon where Sammy is facing away from the camera. My favorite is the one where Sammy is kinda blurry in the background. I love you guys! The pictures are amazing and Sammy’s album will be a wonderful add to my ipod!
i like the last one the best. it’d make a great cover.
Ooooh, I <3 this Behymer girls collaboration!!! Of the two you couldn't choose between, the b&w gets my vote (naturally)…although those silver heels are pretty rockin! Sam is so adorable, I love the natural joy she exudes in front of the camera, sans color correction and everything! 🙂
And yeah, the last picture of her looking up at the deflated balloon…that has GOT to be THE album cover!!!
Okay…the last one with the balloon is pretty rockin and she looks so pretty in the one sitting there by the cactus not looking at the camera. GREAT JOB
You know me, I’m such a SUCKER for spot coloring so I adore the black and white one with the red balloon. And I have to agree with the consensus, the last one seems to be album cover material. I love the trio; I love that you have such mad skills as to be able to take completely awesome pics and not have to edit them (don’t get me wrong, I still love your wicked editing skills, as seen above in my gushing over spot coloring). And honestly, I’m pretty crazy about the first pic too. She does have lovely legs and something about that first shot is just “wow” inspiring. As always, bravo.
Beautiful. Love the Mylar.
Ok, everyone I looked at soon became my favorite. Love the one with her and the cactus. Also, that series of three shots….I am absolutely crazy about. Granted I am fond of laughing/smile shots. Also the last one with her looking up at the heart-perfection. Way to use the barn wood! You totally rock my world!!!
These are great!! I love them. And I will have to agree with the majority on this one: the last picture is amazing! I think it says so much. Very beautiful!
I hope she doesn’t take it as an insult, but she totally reminds me of a much younger Sally Field, who I think is just naturally gorgeous.
Looks like Behymer girls also have similar tastes in shoes.
I can’t help but love those Behymer girls
You Behymer girls are very photogenic, unlike us Behymer guys, ha! I have hazel eyes too bye the way.
