After we shot Blake & Nicole’s engagement session, this couple came back to our office so they could change clothes before getting back on the road. While Nicole was changing, Blake was asking us questions about working together.
Mack and I are together pretty much 100% of the time. We work together, we parent together, we travel together. About the only time we’re apart is for the random dinner we have with solo friends, and obviously, during boudoir sessions. We’re literally spending our entire lives together right now. And normally, when we tell people that, they screw up their faces and say, “UGH! I couldn’t handle it. How do you keep from killing each other?”
But Blake didn’t say that. Blake said, “Wow. That’s awesome. I would love to do that. I hate every second I have to spend away from Nicole.”
And we knew right then, even more than we knew during the engagement session, that Blake & Nicole were our kind of people.
See, marrying your best friend means that you’re excited for every second you get to spend together. Does it mean you never fight? No. Does it mean you never need alone time? No. But it means that every waking minute you have to spend apart, you’re kind of wishing you weren’t. At least… that’s the way it is for us, and we know that’s the way it’ll be for Blake & Nicole.
This gorgeous couple picked their outfits and locations when the weather was warm, and wouldn’t you know it, it went and got cold just in time for their engagement session. But I’m still in love with these images, and I know they’re excited to see them, too.![]()

It was a dream of Blake & Nicole’s to have their engagement pictures taken in Boston… but when that didn’t work out, they brought a little of the Northeast to a tiny baseball field out in the country.![]()

This girl is gorgeous, there’s just no way around it. You’re a lucky man, Blake!

This next one is a favorite of mine!

GAH! Stop it, you guys!

Woo hoo, Steamy! Blake & Nicole, we’re so honored to get to work with you during this exciting time in your lives. Bridal portraits are right around the corner, and before you know it, August will be knocking at the door. We’re excited!![]()
