Welcome to the Best of 2009 contest… also known as the hardest set of decisions I’ve ever had to make!
I told you all about it yesterday, but let’s go over the rules again, shall we?

When voting closes, I’ll tally the votes.
One voter will be chosen at random to receive a $25 Starbucks gift card, and the client whose image received the most votes will get an 8×10 canvas reproduction of that image… a Christmas gift from McGowan Images!

I narrowed it down as much as I could, which felt about like what I imagine breaking off one’s own toes would feel. Seriously, it hurt. I kept saying, “oh, that one!” and “oh man, I can’t forget those ones!”
Believe me when I say I would have loved to include everyone. And hey, I’m willing to admit that I’m in no way impartial. I have no way of knowing if how much I adore a client as a person has a bearing on how much I love their pictures. That’s why I’m not making the final choice… YOU ARE!
Like I said yesterday, it felt like my own little Sophie’s Choice to have to decide between images. Still, this is about the Best of the Best and I can’t have this becoming the everlasting blog post. So I got down to 25 of my absolute favorite images of the year, and now… you have to pick what’s #1!

And finally, my Top 10 Favorite Wedding Portraits of 2009. (Yes, two couples are represented twice in this category. I couldn’t help it. Just call it one of the perks of giving me complete creative control! )
And there you have it! Well… probably. Right now. See, every few seconds, I change my mind about my favorites. So if I don’t push “publish” right now, I’ll change my mind again and it’ll never happen!
(By the way, I’m sure you noticed a lack of “feet” pictures. Yeah, surprising. Well, it’s because I decided they didn’t really need to be in the running for the best of… but deserved their own blog post! So, sometime next week, no prize attached, you’ll get a blog post that’s just my favorite feet pictures. BAM.)
