Last Friday afternoon, Tarah sat in a room with all her best girlfriends. Her mom told her she was beautiful, her make-up artist told her to breathe, and her bridesmaids asked if she needed anything. All she needed was for someone to deliver ice cream to her groom… to brighten his day, and let him know how excited she was to see him. And when she DID see him… her world spun to a stop, just for a minute, so that she had nothing in the universe to focus on but the love of her life.
While Matt waited for 4 p.m., he watched a soccer game. He talked to his friends and brothers, ate his celebratory ice cream, and waited ’til the last minute to put his suit jacket on. He didn’t want to be sweaty when he hugged her, you see. But when he DID see her, the sweat didn’t matter… his world spun to a stop, just for a minute, so he had nothing in the universe to focus on but the love of his life.
At A&M Gardens in Azle, Tarah & Matt became Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy, and we had so much fun celebrating with them! We’ll finish out the blog week tomorrow with some reception details, sunset portraits and lots of dancing, but today is all about Getting Ready, First Sight, and Ceremony!Enjoy!
Tarah’s wedding day look was a work of art completed by one of our favorite make-up gurus, Shannon with Something You Make-Up Artistry. We know every time we work with Shannon, we’re going to be walking into a Getting Ready Party, and we love it!
Tarah & Matt are such a beautiful couple!
Aren’t the bridesmaids’ dresses precious? They’re part of the Disney Princess Collection. I kind of want all of them, just to wear around the house.
In no time at all, everyone was ready for the ceremony to start! Well, almost everyone…
As one of nine children, Matt’s siblings played a big part in his & Tarah’s wedding celebration. Four of his sisters read a blessing during the ceremony that was really lovely.
Man & Wife!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy!
Come back tomorrow… we’ve still got half the day to share!
