Patrice & Steven : Wedding Pt. 1

We’ve been so blessed this season with laid-back, easy-going brides, and Patrice fit right into that streak. She was calm and happy on her wedding day, the same way she’s been all along in this process. She & Steven (and Steven’s daughter Keira) woke up Saturday morning knowing that went they went to sleep that night, they’d be a family in a more “official” way than they’d ever been before… and what’s not happy about that?

Speaking of Keira, I have a confession… you’ll be seeing a lot of her as I blog this wedding. In addition to being adorable, she was also, hands-down, the most well-behaved child I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Period. That includes my own children, who’ve both been in weddings. Keira was polite and joyful and just, in general, a pleasure to be around. That’s a great testament to her amazing dad, and I know that Patrice is going to be yet another outstanding influence for this precious girl as she grows up.

But before we get to that, as you well know, we start with a few “getting ready” moments and details. And for me, Saturday started with a dress & a longhorn…

I love the light in the bride’s suite at Delaney Vineyards... almost as much as I love photographing gorgeous brides like Patrice.

The groomsmen weren’t bad themselves, and certainly kept us on our toes.
