If you follow McGowan Images on Facebook (and you really really should), you will have seen that yesterday was a very special wedding for us. Blogstalkers don’t know this couple yet because, well, the engagement session just happened three days before the wedding. Don’t worry, we’ll be sharing that as well as this bride’s bridal portraits in the days ahead.
But back to what I was saying… Matt & Lindsey are special. Matt is serving our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, and Lindsey supports him every step of the way. He flew home from training last Saturday to spend a week with the love of his life. They took engagement pictures, they made plans, they soaked up their time together. And on Saturday, they got married. And despite the constant threat of rain, the day was absolutely perfect.
Today, Matt & Lindsey are together. But tomorrow, that’s another story. Tomorrow, Matt will return to his post, and continue training to do what he’s vowed to do… protect his wife, and the rest of us here at home.
Please join me in thanking Matt & Lindsey for their sacrifices, and send up your prayers that they have a wonderful day together. Mack and I feel so honored to have been part of this precious time with such an amazing couple, and we hope that the images we captured of their beautiful wedding day will help bring joy into the days when they have to be apart.
As always, we’ll share more from this wedding later in the week. And normally, a sneak is 5-10 pictures to just give a small taste of what’s coming. But you know what? If ever there was a reason for me to lose sleep and stay up late to put together an extra big sneak peek, today is that day:

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Gillespie! We pray your day together today is just as wonderful as Saturday was.![]()
Blogstalkers, get ready to see lots more of these pretty people as the week goes on… engagement portraits & bridal portraits, as well as LOTS more wedding lovelies, are on deck!

Liesa - I love these for both the art and the meaning behind them. Lindsey was always one of a kind and so strong when I knew her in high school, and I’m so happy for her now that she’s married. I know some challenges will be ahead for them as they are apart as newlyweds but a girl like Lindsey can handle it for sure!
Congrats you two!
