I knew from my phone conversation months and months ago with Allison that we were going to be fast friends. But it’s when we had the opportunity to watch her dance with her fiance at Leslie & Garrett’s wedding that we really started to get excited for their wedding. All night long, Allison & Corey were tearing up that dance floor… visiting with everyone they passed, and just generally loving life. There’s this infectious joy that just radiates off of them, and that’s exactly the attitude we love to see in people we photograph.
Luckily, the brought that same happiness to their engagement session earlier this week. The couple drove up from College Station and met us at Spruill Farm in Stephenville so that the portraits could incorporate something they both love… sheep. They show them, raise them, care for them… sheep are just a part of their lives. I admit, I had no idea how we were going to be able to incorporate a herd of skittish animals into an engagement session, but looking back through these images, I’m kind of in love with them. Even in just the short time we’ve had to get to know Allison & Corey, I can tell that these pictures are completely them. And really, that’s what matters the most.
