Brandon & Amarae : Engagements

Brandon & Amarae’s engagement session was the first time we were meeting this couple. In fact, every time we see them over the next 6 months until their wedding, we’ll be driving at least four hours. It’s always such an honor when clients decide they love us more than anything they can find in their own local market… and after all, we love exploring new places!

I knew from our phone conversations that Amarae was an excited bride, and that just became more and more clear through her engagement session. She and Brandon have been together for over eight years… this moment, and this wedding, feels like “FINALLY!” to her. She’s thrilled to pieces about every little milestone, and that makes her a joy to work with.

We shot these portraits around land that belongs to Brandon’s family in Sommerville. Countless acres with a lake and too many deer to count, and so many gorgeous little spots that I could shoot a dozen sessions there without getting bored. I found myself cursing the clouds for taking my sun away too early… I wasn’t ready to stop shooting!

Amarae has Disney Princess eyes, and dimples you could lose a finger in, and curves that won’t quit. Basically, she was a dream to shoot… and Brandon stares at her the way every girl wants to be looked at!

I got jump-up-and-down excited about this box car when we found it. Killer.
