The Burns Family is one of the rare non-wedding-related portrait sessions that we take every year without fail. I’ve been shooting this family since 2008, and it’s been so much fun to watch the kids grow. It doesn’t hurt that they live right down the road from us, and their mama will schedule portraits for a weekday morning… and doesn’t expect me to wear makeup.![]()
This year, Harley & Ely’s dad wasn’t able to make it, so the session was just about the kids. Here are a few of my favorites!

MaryBeth, your kids are gorgeous, and they’re getting better and better at this picture thing every year.
Love y’all!

Geanna Chisholm - Once again…you’re amazing McG! It’s not hard when your subjects are so flippin’ cute! SO looking forward to our mini next month!!!
Marybeth - Ahhhhh I don’t know how you do it!!! Every year I think oh no the kids are not really smiling, it will be hard to get good ones because they are not cooperating, but then it happens~I see the blog and the clouds open and angels sing! They are sooooo perfect! I love them soooo much! Thank you again for being patient with ALL of us! It means so much to me that you save me a spot each year!
Marybeth - Geanna beat me to the comments!! Too funny. I can’t wait to see your pics either!!
