A lot of people have expressed to me that they were just too busy to get around to Christmas pictures this year, and boy, do I understand that feeling. If we hadn’t done family pictures in early October, it just wouldn’t have gotten done. This holiday season seems like it sneaked up on everyone.
But just because you didn’t get a new family picture for your Christmas card doesn’t mean it’s too late to have them!
Through January and February, I’ll be doing family sessions starting at $100. That’ll get you a one-hour session, and a personalized DVD with all my high-quality originals, plus 20ish shots that I do all our McGowan Images hand-editing on. As always, the pictures at 100% copyright-free. You can print, email, whatever, to your heart’s content!
$100 will get you a session on any weekday evening in Weatherford, starting at 5 p.m. The lighting’s perfect, and there are tons of great locations.
For those of you who need a weekend session, those will start at $125, depending on location.
Also, if you’re thinking “oh, we just can’t afford that right now”, message me anyway. I’m fairly often willing to strike a deal, and right now, I’m all about client recruitment. So I’m working on a nifty referral program that lets you get YOUR family’s session for super cheap if you get friends to book them for themselves!

So, that’s the info on the family side of things. But guess what ELSE is coming up soon?
Yeah, Valentine’s Day. I know, I know… it kind of made me choke, too. I feel like the Wal-Mart of photographers, trying to pimp out one holiday before the dust from the last one has settled. But the fact remains, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.
There are few gifts more perfect for Valentine’s Day than an album of sexy pictures for your husband/fiance/boyfriend. Or, for yourself, for that matter. The boudoir sessions I do are meant to be fun, laid-back celebrations of REAL beauty!
You can see examples o the work I’ve done in that vein below, on the ad. And, you’ll notice, yeah… one of those pictures is of me. Mack and I discussed it, and he concluded that it’s no fair to ask my clients to put themselves out on a limb and allow me to post more intimate photos of them if I’m not willing to do the same for myself. (Plus, I think he’s proud). So here’s our ad, partially featuring Chelsea, after the McGowan Images boudoir treatment.
Yowza! That took guts! I feel like I should say, “Let’s let the post and all it’s comments be about the great packages available through MI right now”, but hey… if you feel the need to tell me I look foxy, I won’t delete your comment!
These sessions are generally an hour and a half long, and are fully customizable. I like to switch things up, so I encourage outdoor shooting if the client has someplace in mind that’s private! But the “white bed” scene you see in some of my examples is a makeshift set that I set up in my house in Morgan Mill, and I know several places around there that are safe to do outdoor pictures.
They can be as tame as you want, or as wild as you want. Mostly, it’s about embracing your body and having fun with it, knowing that your man is a huge fan of whatever it is you’re rockin’!
So, for the month of January, I’ll be offering a Valentine’s Special on boudoir sessions. $200 will get you a session, a DVD with all your originals, plus 20ish images that are hand-retouched (getting rid of blemishes, stretch marks, funny wrinkles… we work wonders!). You’ll also get a 20-page hardcover album of your favorite images, the perfect gift!
Boudoir images are never seen by anyone outside the studio unless you give your express permission for them to be shared online or with my other clients. But hopefully, you’ll come away from your session feeling so smokin’ that you want to share them with the whole world!
So for Valentine’s Day (or birthday present, or wedding present, or anniversary present, or TUESDAY present!), remember boudoir albums. I promise, from experience, they’re one of the most fun gifts you’ll ever give your significant other!
