Happy Friday, blogstalkers! Have y’all had a good week? We have had an incredible week. Like, pretty mind-blowing. Oh man, the things I want to share… just know that big things are coming!
We’re going to finish out this awesome-tacular week with Part 2 of Abi & Matt’s beautiful Wichita Falls wedding. Yesterday, we shared their First Sight, some portraits, and the ceremony. Today, we’ll share images of the bridal party, some details, and all the fun from the reception!
I love this first picture because it was such a genuine moment. The wedding party is paying no attention to me whatsoever, and the Bride & Groom are really enjoying themselves.

While I’m shooting the standard portraits, Mack gets fun details like this:

I don’t know what it is, but I almost always think groomsmen look best in B&W. Must be a manly thing.

This is a portrait set-up that we do at at least half of our weddings, and we do it because it gets a great reaction, and helps loosen up a group of shy attendants. Well, these boys weren’t shy to begin with, and when I told them to cheer for their buddy, I got something magic:

Since Abi got to be the sassy focus of a group of strong admirers, I guess Matt wanted the same thing. How do you think he pulls off the “sassy” look?

Now, off to the reception at the Wichita Club! (Where Mack was in font-geek heaven!
)

First dance as Mr. & Mrs. Compton!

My dance with my Daddy was a favorite moment from my own wedding, and I almost always choke up watching this dance at our clients’ weddings. Love it!

SMILE!

As a musical person, I’ll admit right here that my ears have absolutely NO use for line dances. That might also have something to do with my two left feet. That said, my camera LOVES them.

A little random, courtesy of the Mother of the Bride!

With such a great personality, it’s really no surprise her new son-in-law loves her so much!

During every wedding reception, there should be a time to take a break and rest. Nothing is more exhausting than a wedding!

Back to the party!

This sweet couple, Matt’s brother and sis-in-law, were actually the ones who referred Abi to us! We didn’t shoot their wedding, but I’ve known Laura Beth since we were in elementary school. I lived in SoCal at the time, but visited my grandparents here on school breaks, and LB was my summer friend. It was so great to catch up with you, dear!

Classic dance party moves…

Time to make your getaway, kids…

This picture, to me, totally sums up our day with Abi & Matt. She’s got her eye on the ball, making sure they’re pushing the right button so they get where they’re going. And Matt… well, Matt’s just excited.

Mr. & Mrs. Compton, we had an absolutely lovely time getting to know you both. Your families are precious, and we feel honored to have been a part of your day. We can’t wait to see you next month for a rockin’ portrait session!
