Bluebonnet season

Because I still slave at ye olde Weatherford Democrat newspaper from 8-5, I rarely get the chance to do weekday sessions. But whenever I have a morning off, I try to take advantage of the sweet morning light if I possibly can!
This morning, I had so much fun with the Jones family. They’re just such sweet people, and Aidan is such a big flirt! For those of you unfamiliar with the family… that’d be the baby, not the husband!
Their session was a mix of the traditional and my more casual style, and I think we got some great stuff both ways! And, as usual, I’ll save my favorite shot for last…



And finally, let’s have a little before and after action, shall we? After all, you pay for two different things when you hire me. You pay for the shots straight out of camera… the moments I catch, the angles I use, etc. The kind of raw file I come home with after a session looks something like this:

But you’re also paying for the work that goes in after the fact… making the images the best they can possibly be! And I think, while the first shot was frameable, this “after” really captures that whole “Hey guys, what about me?!?!” vibe Aidan was putting off. It’s one of my favorite family pictures EVER!
