Kiersten is Mack’s youngest cousin on the McGowan side… the baby. She’s always been beyond adorable and sweet, and we could tell from Facebook that the relationship she & Travis have is the real deal. But since we live several states away, we were still surprised to get called to shoot the wedding! Of course, we were all in, and now it’s just three months away!

We met Kiersten & Travis at sunrise at Cowley Fishing Lake outside Arkansas City, KS last week. Surrounded by a lot of openness, all of a sudden there’s this completely unexpected little spot that really blew our minds. We could shoot a dozen sessions at this state park and never use the same location twice… a personal favorite for local spots, so it’s too bad we don’t shoot very often in Kansas! 🙂 Check out a little collection of our favorite shots from the morning, and you’ll see why we’re so excited to photograph these kids makin’ it official in September.
