When we talked to coordinator Laura Mayfield about this wedding, we knew we were a good fit. When we met JD & Brooke at their engagement session, we knew we’d have a wedding day blast with them. When we heard about the gorgeousness being created in a full week of venue set-up, we knew we were excited to see it. And spoiler alert… all those hunches were absolutely true.

Park Place Event Center in Wichita Falls was completely reinvented, the floral was a dream, the bride’s dress was swoonworthy, Chinatown kept the party rolling, and our bride & groom were all smiles all day. Here… just check it out:

We didn’t shoot portraits for long after the wedding party went back inside. Why? Because of rare and vicious October mosquitoes. All four of us were being eaten alive, and it was pretty miserable to stay outside a minute longer. At least this couple is truly enamored of each other, and 3.5 minutes in one spot was enough to create some serious loveliness!

Just like the ceremony design you saw earlier, the reception decor was beautiful. The patio where guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the main party space, the chill lounge space right next door… not a single square foot was overlooked.

A groom’s cake in the image of their beloved dog was amazing… and maybe also a liiiiiiittle disturbing. 😉

Congratulations again, newlyweds. Your 10 years together didn’t just lead up to one day… they’ve led you to the start of a life together, and we can’t wait to see where the journey takes you!
