  • I’m Chelsea, and I have a passion for Photographing Women.

While my wedding work with McGowan Images is my full-time gig, the art I create for my “Girls on Film” is one of the most challenging & rewarding things I've ever done as a photographer. I consider it a personal mission to make sure my clients always leave their sessions feeling powerful, and proud of the skin they’re in, and I’m honored to say I've been succeeding at that since 2008.

What you’ll see on this blog doesn't always fit into the traditional “boudoir” genre, and I’m ok with that. While many of my clients show a lot of skin, my work is more focused on capturing each woman’s genuine spirit. I approach these sessions as a celebration of life… of womanhood… and I encourage my clients to think about them the same way.

Girls on Film clients have been women from 19-65 years of age, all races, sizes & shapes. We ALL deserve to feel beautiful. If this sounds like what you've been looking for, email me. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have, and I’d love to get you on the schedule for an empowering experience of your own sometime soon!

I had time for a few mini sessions while I was in St. Louis recently, and this gorgeous gal gave me permission to post a few of her favorite images of our session together. I seriously loved how simple it was. Nothing too complicated, just a girl enjoying her Saturday morning… while looking super hot in a historic hotel.:)

Thanks for coming out to play, sweetheart!

That tat, though… serious new favorite!

Yeah yeah yeah, that’s a “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” reference. But I’m sticking with it. Angela has gone through some major life changes in the past couple years, and starting her life over in Florida has made a world of difference for her. I couldn’t believe the difference even just in the energy she exuded when we saw her for the first time in a long time… it’s clear that new stomping ground and salty breeze has done this beautiful lady SO much good.

I loved every single set she picked for her session, and was thrilled to death she’s letting me blog. Enjoy!

Give me more beach sunset shooting, please! I’m so bummed I’m done sharing these Florida sessions, because working on them has been SO much fun!

Bobbileigh - Angela all your hard work in the gym paid off big time and how you managed to do all that while working and going to school is seriously impressive! These photos are absolutely beautiful with just a hint of sexy and it’s perfect. If you don’t get that last pic in a huge canvas for your place then I just might and hang it on my wall because someone needs to show it off! I swear I am only a little creepy lol.ReplyCancel

Robert Dugan - Couldn’t agree more, you’ve always been a beautiful person inside and out, I’m glad you’ve built your confidence, it’s the confidence that’s sexy and comes through in these shots – you truly are a unique and extraordinary person, Angie. Icy!ReplyCancel

T came with her equally red-headed and gorgeous friend for a Girls’ Weekend in St. Petersburg, and I was so glad to get to spend the morning with them. I love working with clients who’ve never had boudoir photographed before… they come in expecting one thing, and then leave feeling totally different. That’s my FAVORITE. I was so thrilled with how much T loved her photos, and especially that she’s letting me blog a few!:)

Check out some faves:

Girlfriend, you were SO much fun. Let’s not make it another 3 years before I run into you at a wedding again, huh??

I can’t say anything better about Ann’s session than what she said herself…

That woman is gorgeous – that woman is ME!!!   And I can see my mom in that face. So it will go down as one of my favorite pictures of me EVER.  And you know the reason I did this was to celebrate me and the weight I’ve lost.  What you don’t know is that this is the first time that I can really see how much different my body is.   Oh I know I’ve worked hard and wear a smaller size but I’ve wondered what all the fuss is about when people say how much different I look.  I look in the mirror and I don’t look that much different to me.  Well yes I do!!  I really see it now.  All I can say is I can’t wait until the goal photo shoot and I have a renewed excitement to get the last half off!!

Doing a GOF shoot for the second time was so much more fun.  The first time was awesome too but I felt more at ease from the get-go and thoroughly enjoyed it.  All the girls here at work who have seen my pictures today said they now want to do something like this and I told them “Yes. You do.  And you need Chelsea to do it.

Lady, you’re an absolute inspiration.

I’m proud to know you… and I’ll be even MORE excited to photograph you when you hit your goal because I know that’s a celebration you’ve been working for a long time to reach! I’ll bring the champagne!:)

bobbileigh - Ann I am so glad you made the trip down to take these pictures, for yourself and selfishly because I got to spend time with you :). You have always been one of my favorite people, and I don’t see that changing. You are so beautiful inside and out and these pictures just so perfectly show case your beauty and your spunk!ReplyCancel

    Tara - Ann,
I just love you. Inside and out from the day I met you. I’ve been trying to think of one word that “is” what you are. I can’t find just one! Stay just as you are.ReplyCancel

ann - Again, thanks a million. The whole thing from pictures to hanging out was the best.ReplyCancel

I’ve photographed Miss E a couple times since we met her in the fall of 2011. Engagements, bridals, wedding, and even a boudoir session a couple years ago. Now that she & her sweetheart live in Florida, she jumped IMMEDIATELY on board as soon as she heard I’d be in the area shooting Girls on Film sessions. And homegirl brought her A-game.

We met at the beach at sunrise, and she got to use my pretty skirt. And she seriously rocked every pose, every outfit, every look. I don’t know if she’s channeling Tyra or what, but maaaan, E gives good face!:)

Check out some of my very favorites of this red-headed hottie at St. Petersburg Beach, and in our suite at the Vinoy Resort:

That. THAT. Those last few shots just scream “Briar Rose” to me, and since Miss E is as big a Disney Nerd as I am, she appreciated the comparison. Completely lovely, sweetheart… hope it was everything you wanted it to be!
