Remembering your own beauty…

A lot can change in a few years. Especially in early marriage, as careers are taking off and decisions are being made, it can sometimes be easy to lose your sense of self. And aren’t those years leading up to the big 3-0 supposed to be the opposite of that?? We as women should be FINDING ourselves! Embracing who we are. Celebrating what makes us unique. I’m so glad I was able to help Miss K reclaim a little of that vibrance that makes her so specially beautiful.

Here’s a snippet of what she had to say about her Girls on Film session:

“You made me feel so beautiful yesterday. You made me fall in love with the fact that my thighs that sometimes touch. You made me remember my arms (which I saw as too big) are  strong and stunning. I  look at those hips I have now and see that they are just perfect curves that hit in all the right places. You reminded me that I am beautiful and powerful and strong and perfect just the way I am. And I cant tell you how much that means to me. I feel beautiful today, and I haven’t even seen any pictures yet! We all know you work magic. I feel beautiful because while I was standing in a field of grass or climbing walls in heels or wrapping that leg, you spoke with such persistence about how I was rocking it and the more you said it the more I believed it. I choose today to remember that and I’m going to do my best to hear that in my head each day.
You changed my life yesterday. I cried tears of happy because not only did I have such a blast with you & MegB, but more importantly I learned to love myself again, and saw how important that is. Thank you so very much. Thank you for giving me more than a gift for my husband. Thank you for helping me remember I am beautiful. I’m so grateful for you.”

Let me be clear. I do NOT beg for these emails or in any way compensate or reward these ladies for their incredible words about the Girls on Film experience. I don’t share them to make myself seem amazing or worthy of praise.

I share them because I BELIEVE that boudoir portraits, if approached in the right way with the right team & the right mindset, can be a life-changing experience. I believe it with my entire everything.

And now… so does Miss K.:)

Check out some of my favorites from her session!

Those freckles!!! LOVE!!

This swimsuit was a fab outfit choice. A Girls on Film session doesn’t have to be all about lingerie… bring whatever makes you feel gorgeous & confident!!

Thanks again to Miss K for letting me share these images, and as always to MegB for hair & makeup styling.

LeighAnn - K! OMG – you look awesome…well not just look – but you are awesome! I am SO sad that we weren’t able to do this together. I am hoping that I will have the same confidence the session gave you to do one once I have the baby and get back to my body..whatever it will look like. You have inspired me and I am so proud of your awesomeness! :)ReplyCancel
