A couple weeks ago, I took some portraits of hilarious women. I can try to act like I was all, “Meh, no big deal, you’re just funny on the internet for a living and I’m in no way intimidated by you”, but that’d be a lie. I totally called my best friend and had a panic attack because these women are FAMOUS and I was shooting their headshots and if I didn’t make them feel beautiful, I’d just curl up in a ball and die. No pressure or anything.
But I’m happy to say, I did not curl up in a ball and die. I had a wonderful time, and so did they, and the pictures are gorgeous. And then the wine was good.
I’ve mentioned before that if life gets in the way and I only have time to read ONE extra-curricular thing on the internet, it’s alwaysALWAYSalways Brittany’s blog. She is funny in the way that has me shooting stuff out my nose and emailing links to people, and I’m so grateful now to feel like I can call her a friend in real life. I’m also grateful that she introduced me to Shauna, who’s latest blog about wanting to run away from home had me laughing ’til my sides hurt, because OMG, been there.
We met up in downtown Fort Worth near the post office on Lancaster for these portraits. Brittany, being from Ohio, was completely unprepared for the Texas heat. Some people have told her she’ll get used to it, but I made sure to tell her that those people LIED. Luckily, both ladies did a fantastic job being gorgeous through the sweat. Brittany was up first!
I want that hair. And those shoes. And those eyebrows.
I had no idea how old Shauna was, and then when she told me, I called her a liar. Whoever she sold her soul to in exchange for eternal youth, I’d like his number please! GORGEOUS.
And then, finally, because Brittany said it looked like she & Shauna were taking engagement pictures, we made sure to capture that “magic moment”.
Thank you ladies SO much for making me a part of your summer. I hope these pictures are everything you were looking for, and that they make you feel as beautiful as you are. Also, keep being hilarious, because otherwise I’ll have a to find a whole new way to waste time on the internet…
